We were previously handling restore requests for our daily backups for our shared and reseller hosting servers manually, meaning that whenever customers needed a backup snapshot retrieved or restored, they would before have had to contact our support team. Well, say good bye to this traditional method! As part of our ongoing efforts to introduce infrastructure stability – today, we are further empowering our customers with more tools and features, all at no additional charge. RackNerd is pleased to announce our new JetBackup feature, now immediately available for all shared & reseller hosting clients. Here at RackNerd, we continue to find ways to enhance our valued customer’s experience. We greatly appreciate your business!

RackNerd is now partnered with JetBackup to handle daily backups for all of our Shared Hosting & Reseller Hosting servers. Additionally, customers will be pleased to know that our backups are fully off-site, and segregated to ensure optimal performance. We re-replicate all of our backups to multiple points of presences (POPS) in off-site disaster recovery datacenters, all while without compromising quality or performance to the end user or the actual production server.

What does this mean to you? Well, this means you can now access backups at your fingertips, on demand. At any time of your desire, you can now view your available backups within cPanel, and choose to either Download it to your computer, or to Restore the backup from the given backup snapshot. Within JetBackup, we are holding 3 retentions (up to the most recent 3 backup days). It’s like having a Time Machine, but for your website!

NOTE: If you are not yet an existing RackNerd shared/reseller hosting client, check out our Shared Hosting and Reseller Hosting plans! All shared/reseller hosting servers are fully whitelabel and powered by the cPanel/WHM control panel. We empower our customers with plenty of features available at their fingertips, such as this new JetBackup feature!

Step #1: Log into your cPanel account.

The login details to cPanel were mentioned in your welcome email.

Step #2: Once logged into cPanel, under the JetBackup section, select on “Full Account Backups“, as screenshot’d below:

Step #3: From here, you can see multiple snapshots, taken daily for your hosting account. You can select to either Download the backup to your computer, or restore your hosting account (it’s like having a time machine, for your hosting account!)

We hope that you enjoy the new JetBackup feature. And of course, for clients who wish to generate backups manually using cPanel’s built-in backup feature, you may continue to do that as well. However, the beauty of JetBackup is that it’s fully automatic and will back up automatically every day, so you don’t ever have to worry about it!

If you have any questions regarding this new JetBackup feature, please feel free to contact us at any time. RackNerd’s support personnel are available 24 hours per day to assist you.
